Typically, jobs posted on Upwork have one of two contract options: Hourly projects (paid hourly for the time you work on the project) and Fixed-price projects (one fee is paid for the entire project or for previously agreed upon milestones completed).

Using GigRadar, you can set up your scanner to target jobs that are either fixed price, hourly rate, or both. You also have the option to specify the fixed price budget and hourly rate budget to target. You can do this as follows:

  1. From your GigRadar account, click on the Scanners tab.

  2. Select the scanner to which you want to apply the filter.

  3. Go to the scanner’s Project Preferences by clicking on the Project filter.

  4. In the Project Type setting, select one of the following options:

    • All: Select this option if you want your scanner to find both fixed price and hourly rate jobs.

    • Fixed Price: Select this option if you want your scanner to find only fixed price jobs.

    • Hourly Rate: Select this option if you want your scanner to find only hourly rate jobs.

🚩 Note: Additionally, when you select a specific budget type, you have the option to estimate a fixed price or hourly rate when it's not available. This feature allows you to calculate proportionally, based on budget, project duration, and client engagement filters (project duration in weeks and hours), the cost of a given project per hour or at a fixed price, respectively.

  5. Click OK to save the filter settings.

💡 Tip: Check your scanner’s Preview Results to verify that the jobs that are displaying match the filters that you have applied. For more information, see 👀 Preview Results.
