❓ After how long the work appears in Preview Results, after it's published on Upwork?

The Jobs that you see in the Preview Results tab, tells you which pattern of jobs your scanner will be applying to. In other words, it helps you understand how your scanner is set up and whether it is scanning for the right jobs that meet your requirement.

📝 If you have setup the scanner, but have not enabled Auto Bidding, the scanner will search for jobs and display them in the Preview Results of your scanner.

🚫 It will however not apply to any of the jobs until you enable Auto Bidding.

🚫 It will also not apply for jobs that were posted prior to you enabling Auto Bidder for your scanner.

While setting up your scanner, GigRadar highly recommends that you check the Preview Results to make sure that the job types you’re seeing are satisfactory for you.

🕵🏻 What if I see a lot of irrelevant jobs, but my keywords in the search are ok?

Then you are probably targeting high-specific domains.

Look at the job results in the Preview Results tab. Check each job and pick out the keywords from the irrelevant jobs. GigRadar recommends that go through at least 10 pages of Preview Results.

You can then use the scanner’s Advanced Search Options feature to exclude the specific keywords or parameters that you have determined from previewing the results. To learn how to use filters and excludes, see ⌛ Using Filtering and Excludes.

Why are there large numbers in the preview results? More than 10k or 5000?

GigRadar’s job database is impressively huge and retains job postings for a long period of time! When you go to the very last of the detected results, you will find links to job postings that were listed three years ago or more.

✏️ Tip:

Preview Results helps you understand how your scanner is set up and whether it is scanning for the right jobs that meet your requirement.

Make sure that you go through a few pages of Preview Results to check if the jobs that are displaying meet your criteria.

📅 Where can I see the number of jobs my scanners will find in a month?

🛈 As you may already know, the existing “Detected XYZ results” that you see in the Preview Results is not the monthly detected jobs, but all the jobs detected over a duration of time.

📢 In our next update, in the Preview Results tab, we are going to add the monthly detected jobs as a callout beside the existing “Detected XYZ results”. 📢

In the meanwhile, you can check the monthly forecast as follows:

  1. Go to the Auto Bidder tab of your scanner.

  2. Scroll down to the Connects Expense section.

Here, you can view the data for the scanner for the past year. You can also see the monthly forecast for the scanner that GigRadar determines based on historical data.

By looking at the forecast in the below image, we can say that the scanner has detected an average of 150 jobs per month.

For information about a scanner's 300 jobs per month limitation, see 🙅🏻‍♀️ 300 jobs / month limitation.

🕒 After how long does the work appear in Preview Results, after it's published on Upwork?

It takes up to 13 minutes to show in Preview Results. We can see new job postings immediately, but in your GigRadar UI, it appears 13 minutes later from when it is posted on Upwork.
