βš™οΈ Does the bot send bids to all job posts in the search results?

If you have setup the scanner and have enabled Auto Bidding for it, then the scanner will apply for any new job postings that match your search criteria. It will not apply for jobs that were posted prior to you enabling Auto Bidder for your scanner.

πŸ“ If you have setup the scanner, but have not enabled Auto Bidding, the scanner will search for jobs and display them in the Preview Results of your scanner. It will however not apply to any of the jobs until you enable Auto Bidding.

There could be times when the scanner bot does not send bids for a job post. The following are a few reasons of why this could happen:

  • A higher-priority scanner has already sent a bid for this job. For more information about scanner prioritization, see πŸ” Scanner Prioritization.

  • An error has occurred, which could be due to insufficient connects balance, an issue from Upwork, or an issue from GigRadar.
For any GigRadar related errors or issues, contact your Customer Success Manager to resolve the issue.

❗ Can I migrate my scanners, complete with all their data, to another team or agency?

Yes, if needed, you can contact your Customer Success Manager to migrate scanners. However, it is highly recommended that you create your scanners from scratch and double-check all its settings to ensure their quality.

🧰 Set up your scanner

After you have created a new scanner, you can set up the scanner as follows:

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I have 500 opportunities, why did the auto bidder only make 150 bids?

The following are a few reasons why the scanner did not auto-bid for the opportunities that you are seeing in the Preview Results:

  • You may have not enabled Auto-Bidding for your scanner.
If you have setup the scanner, but have not enabled Auto Bidding, the scanner will search for jobs and display them in the Preview Results of your scanner. It will however not apply to any of the jobs until you enable Auto Bidding. It will also not apply for jobs that were posted prior to you enabling Auto Bidder.

  • A higher-priority scanner has already sent a bid for this job.

  • An error has occurred, which could be due to insufficient connects balance, an issue from Upwork, or an issue from GigRadar. For any GigRadar related errors or issues, contact your Customer Success Manager to resolve the issue.

πŸ”€ Does GigRadar employ text normalization? Should I input a single keyword and expect GigRadar to recognize all synonyms and variations, or should I provide every precise synonym?

No, Gigradar does not employ text normalization or any synonyms and variations. Gigradar's syntax is only case-insensitive. However, it's a good practice to include different keyword variations. You can use syntax elements for that.

πŸ’‘ Example:

(desig*)

This will find: design, designer, designing, and so on.

For more information about search syntax, see GigRadar Search Syntax: Query Operators for Optimized Job Searches.

πŸ—‘οΈ What are the consequences of deleting a scanner? Can a deleted scanner be restored?

Deleting a scanner will not have any consequences. The statistics for that scanner would still be retained. However, if you want to use that scanner again in the future, you will need to set it up from scratch.

To restore a deleted scanner, contact your Customer Success Manager.
