📢 Before you begin to enable Auto Bidding, make sure that you have completed the following:
- Created your first scanner and have applied the necessary filters
- Decided your bidding algorithm and have drafted a cover letter template and included answers to questions
- Activated your boosting settings.
Auto Bidding allows your scanner to actively find new jobs and send proposals when new job opportunities arise. To enable Auto Bidding:
Click the Auto Bidder tab.
Scroll down to Team & Freelancer and complete the following:
Select a team such as an agency name.
Select the freelancer from whom proposals will be sent.
💡Note: If you have added a new profile to your Upwork account or have made changes to an existing profile, the information will display in GigRadar only after the data has been synchronized. Upwork and GigRadar data is synchronized every 24 hours. Once the synchronization takes place, the updated information should be visible in your GigRadar account.
3. Configure Auto Bidder Delay (Optional)
Auto Bidder Delay lets you control how long GigRadar waits before submitting a proposal after a matching job appears on Upwork.
This setting helps you balance visibility, safety, and Connect efficiency.
To configure Auto Bidder Delay:
Open an active scanner.
Navigate to the Auto Bidder tab.
Scroll down to the Auto Bidder Delay section.
Select the delay that best matches your bidding strategy.
Recommended: Use Default (10–15 minutes) for the best balance between visibility, safety, and consistency.
For a detailed explanation of each delay option, see our Auto Bidder Delay guide.
4. Scroll up to the Auto Bidding Enabled section and turn ON the Auto Bidding Enabled button.
💡Note: If your scanner detects more than 300 jobs per month, you cannot enable Auto Bidding. For more information about this limitation, see How do I enable auto-bidder? I have an error that says that the scanners found more than 300 job posts per month.
4. In the Auto Bidding Schedule, you have the option to run the scanner 24/7 or at custom times. We recommend that you keep the scanners running 24/7, to make sure that you don’t miss out on any opportunities.
5. Click Save to save your scanner settings.
👉 Next up: If this is a new scanner, make sure to follow all the steps provided in the Getting Started guide.
