🤷‍♂️ What is cross-bidding in Upwork Lead Generation?

It’s a strategy widely used by high-performing agencies within Upwork lead generation. It uses two or more Freelancer Profiles when applying for the same job, to secure more chances to get a reply.

For some people, it’s just a waste of connections; however, large agencies are proving the very opposite.

🧐 In GigRadar, cross-bidding is implemented by default. How does it work?

For example, if you have two exact scanners with different freelancers selected, GigRadar will apply to one job using the two Freelancer Profiles.

In the below example image, there are two scanners set up for two different freelancers:

  1. PropTech Daniel

  2. PropTech Dmytro

Both scanners are set up with the same filters and keywords. Therefore, they will both detect the same jobs.

With Auto Bidder enabled, these two scanners will apply for the same job using Daniel’s and Dmytro’s profiles.

❓ FAQ

If I use three different freelancer’s profiles, can I avoid all three profiles applying to one job?

Currently, GigRadar does not have such a feature. We cannot prevent all agency profiles from applying to the same job posting that you have applied for.

However, we are working on this feature. For product updates, click Updates in your GigRadar account.
