There are two ways that you can block your scanner from sending bids to job posts where the client requires a freelancer from a specific country:

  • From the Vendor > Freelancer Location filter. Using this filter, you can include or exclude specific countries from the scanner's search results. For more information about how to use this filter, see What is the Vendor > Freelancer Location filter used for?.

  • From the Auto Bidder tab. Using this method, you can update your scanner settings to avoid applying to jobs where the preferred freelancer location doesn't match the selected freelancer's location. To apply this setting, follow the below steps:

    1. From your GigRadar account, click Scanners, and select the scanner to which you want to apply the block.

    2. Click the Auto Bidder tab of your scanner.

    3. Scroll down to the Advanced Settings section.

    4. Select the Don't apply to jobs where the preferred freelancer location doesn't match the selected freelancer's location checkbox.

    5. Click Save.

After you have saved your settings, the scanner will not send bids to jobs where your location does not match the client's requirements.

Under Latest Opportunities, in the Status column, you will see the following text indicating that the bid was not sent: The selected freelancer's location does not match job's preferred location. This scanner is set to ignore jobs where client prefers a freelancer from a specific location that doesn't match the current freelancer location.
