Understanding which keywords are most frequently used by clients within the current scanner is crucial. This insight can help you optimize your profile and improve scanner performance by incorporating these keywords into your Upwork profile title, description, skills, portfolio cases, and work history.

How to use Profile Match to improve your scanner performance?

For example: I see that the keyword "Campaign Optimization" is gaining popularity compared to others in my "Google Ads scanner". My task as a specialist in this niche is to add this keyword to my profile:

  1. In the title, my profile should include not only basic search terms but also this top keyword.

  2. The profile description should also incorporate this top keyword.

  3. Your skills section on the profile that you are using for bidding.

  4. It is important to feature this skill not only in the skills section of the profile used in the scanner but also in the skills showcased in the portfolio samples.

  5. Even your employment history should include this top keyword.

  6. Your actual Upwork work history will benefit from having these keywords as well. It's a good practice to ask the client to change the original job post to mention your target keywords in the original job.

How the Match is Calculated?

The Profile Match score is calculated by comparing the skills listed on your Upwork profile against the top 20 skills derived from the scanner's insights.
