Clients posting jobs on Upwork can choose to ask questions to better understand the freelancer’s experience. They can use Upwork's default questions, craft their own custom questions, or skip adding any questions altogether. This field is not mandatory when creating and publishing a job post.

In GigRadar you can use different segmentation techniques to search for jobs that have default questions, custom questions, or no questions. For example, you can create a scanner only for job posts that have no questions and enable Auto Bidding for it. This scanner will find all jobs that have no questions.

Similarly, you can create another scanner for custom questions. On this scanner you may want to send bids manually (based on Opportunity Alerts) to make your responses more personalized, hence, you may decide not to enable Auto Bidding for this scanner.

You can apply the job posting questions filter for your scanner as follows:

  1. From your GigRadar account, click on the Scanners tab.

  2. Select the scanner to which you want to apply the filter.

  3. Go to the scanner’s Project Preferences by clicking on the Project filter.

  4. In the Job Posting Questions field, you can select any or all options:

    • Jobs that don’t have questions

    • Jobs with default questions

    • Jobs that contain custom questions

  5. Click OK to save the filter settings.

💡 Tip: Check your scanner’s Preview Results to verify that the jobs that are displaying match the filters that you have applied. For more information, see 👀 Preview Results.
